#TATE NO YUUSHA MANGA 33 RAW SERIES#
Not a whole lot of series I follow in this week’s release.Mahou-ka Koukou no Rettousei Double Seven-hen #2 (31,304)Ģ4. Dame na Watashi ni Koishite Kudasai R #5 (33,061)Ģ0. Sales Talk Weekly Oricon Manga Chart: 2018 – July 23rd ~ July 29thĠ2. Overall, I like the look and atmosphere of the series a lot, and looking forward to seeing how the series expands from here. It’s a soccer manga, but the plot and atmosphere is more in line with a death-game/survival manga. The “screw teamwork” mentality is a interesting spin of the typical team-focused nature of most sports manga, and I’m hoping the series will expand on the idea in a serious manner, although I fear it might just keep playing for the “shock” value given the writer. The dark and gritty art style of Nomura blends really nicely with the realistic but twisted atmosphere of the series, and it adds a very nice layer of thrill and suspense throughout the whole chapter. While Jinbachi’s speech is absurd and goes completely against everything he’s been taught about soccer till then, Yoichi finds himself running straight to the entrance of the facility. He invites them to come join his “Blue Lock” program, where he will sacrifice the future of 300 players to produce one true striker. He claims you can’t be the world’s greatest striker without having the world’s biggest ego, and he believe such strikers are what’s missing from the current Japanese teams. In front of 300 young soccer players, Jinbachi makes a shocking speech where he tells them to “fuck off” with their nice little teamwork, that soccer isn’t about being nice to your teammates, but playing to fulfill your own selfish ego and score goals. When he’s back home, Yoichi finds out that he got an invitation from the Japan Football Union about a special training program, and there he meets Ego Jinbachi, a man who claims he was hired to lead Japan to win the World Cup. However, he tells himself that it was the right decision because soccer is a “team sport”. While trying to process the loss, Yoichi has doubts whether his decision to pass to his teammate instead of shooting when he was at a 1-on-1 with the goalkeeper was the right decision. Unfortunately, his high school soccer team was just one game short of qualifying to the nationals. The story revolves around Isagi Yoichi, a high school soccer player who dreamed of becoming the ace striker for the Japanese national team and winning the world cup.
